Amazon Payments Option Added

In light of the recent issues with Google Chrome and Paypal not coexisting peacefully, I’m trying out Amazon Payments as an alternative for users interested in purchasing software.

The Amazon Simple Pay widget creator does not allow for collecting an email address directly from the user.  During testing, Amazon simply sends me an email with the information they have on file for the account that made the purchase.

Please make sure you have a valid email address listed on your account or I will not be able to send out a serial code.

We’ll try this for a bit and see if it works out.  If not, I’ll just go back to using Paypal exclusively for payments.  Please get in touch if you notice any glitches that need unglitching.

Thanks much.

PayPal / Google Chrome Issue *UPDATE

Some users are reporting experiencing issues with PayPal not working when trying to purchase Petri.  I am investigating the issue, and will hopefully have the problem tracked down soon.

Preliminary research seems to point to an issue with how Google Chrome handles PayPal buttons.  Users are encouraged to try using Safari or Firefox for the time being.  Hopefully, I can locate a fix soon and using specific browsers won’t be necessary.

Thanks again for your patience.

*** UPDATE: I was able to reproduce the problem on two computers in-house.  By clearing Google Chrome’s browser data, I was then able to access the PayPal links on both machines exhibiting the issue.

Please try:

• Google Menu > Under the Hood > Clear Browsing Data > Clear Browsing Data

Website updating

I’m in the process of updating the site, and as such, there may be some broken linking for a bit.  Please drop a line or leave a comment if you notice something not functioning as it should.

Thank you for your patience.

Last chance to purchase Thread/String from iTunes store, Amazon

I had been using Tunecore to distribute my music to the iTunes Music Store and Amazon.com, but have found it to be less than favorable. As a result, there’s a good chance Thread and String will no longer be available from iTunes or Amazon, so if you’re interested in picking up either of those, now would be a good time. More information can be found on the music page.

Thanks for listening!
